What does it
cost to become a member?
The current share price is $2100. The club is currently offering two
options for the payment of the share price:
Option 1: Pay an initial amount of $900
and then $100 per month for 15 months.
OR
Option2: Pay the full amount of $2100
and save $20 per month in service charges.
If I decide to
leave the club, can I get any of my money back?
Yes, All but $100 of the share price is refundable when you leave the club.
How much are
your monthly dues?
Monthly dues are $100.
How are members
charged for flight time?
The club charges $110 per tachometer hour wet (fuel included) for all of
our aircraft. Members are billed
for their flight time on a monthly basis.
Do you charge
tax?
No, we are a not-for-profit organization and do not charge tax.
Do you offer a
discount for block time?
Yes, we offer members a 10% discount for every $500 of block time
purchased.
Do you have any
sort of family membership and what does it cost?
Yes, we offer class II memberships to the immediate family of class I
members. The cost is $550 per family and is non-refundable. The class II
members do not pay dues, are not subject to any special assessments and
have their flight time billed to the class I member.
Do you allow
student pilots as members?
Yes, we allow student pilots as members.
Can I
receive instruction in the club's aircraft from an instructor
who is not a member of the club?
Yes, club members can use instructors who are not on the approved list
provided the instructor is a current CFI, meets the clubs insurance
requirements, receives a checkout from the club's safety officer and is
approved by the club's board of directors.
Who does your
maintenance?
Performance Aviation performs the majority of our maintenance work.
What type of
insurance does the club have?
We have a liability and hull insurance policy issued by W. Brown &
Associates. For policy specifics, please download insurance information here.
How much
is your insurance deductible and how much of it are your members
responsible for in the event of damage to one of the club's
aircraft?
The deductible is $2500. In the event of aircraft damage, the club's
board of directors will determine the amount of member responsibility and
may hold a member responsible for an amount up to the deductible.
Do you require
any sort of renters insurance?
No, and because the membership is included as the named insured on our
policy, it is unlikely that a renters policy would cover in the event of
an accident in one of the club's aircraft. Your mileage may vary here
and you should check with your insurance provider.
Do you have regular meetings and may non-members attend?
The club's
Board of Directors meets on the second Monday of every month at 7 pm at the Chandler Municipal Airport (KCHD). All
